Paneer-Whey Soup

WHEY- is a great source of protein,vitamins and minerals. It is  the leftover water while making paneer. Try our delicious soup recipe made from whey with chunks of paneer .

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 5 mins
Makes 4 servings


2 tsp oil
1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 chopped green chillies
3 cups whey(1and 1/2 litres of milk gives 4 cups of whey)

Salt  to taste

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)

1/2 cup paneer(cottage cheese) , cut into small square pieces


  1. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the green chillies, whey, salt and pepper, mix well and bring to boil.
  3. Add the paneer and coriander, mix well and simmer for 30 seconds.
  4. Serve hot.
